Also, the app has a clock at the top which is also a nice feature while running the app. I also made the LCDs black with green digitized numbers to mimic the car. ![]() All gauges have their own LCD screens for quick digital readings at a glance. I also made the ranges work so most gauges were straight up (again for aesthetics). I chose the gauges I figured were most important. Get a Bluetooth dongle for android phones or a WiFi dongle for iPhones. It was a lot of work, but the only way I can get it on my car is to upload it, which makes it available to anyone, so enjoy! Even if you do not have an android head unit and Bluetooth ELM127 dongle (lol), it can be accessed on your phone. It is available for download to anyone with the dash command app. It is now on version 4.0 and I even drew the gauge knobs to mimic the ones on the actual car. I spent lots of time figuring it out until I now have created a working 07-09 Gauge Cluster that is a hybrid of the 180 degree gauge sweep of the Speedo/Tach, but stylized like the inner gauges (this way I can display a wider number range). Then I found out you can make custom dashboards for it. Anyway, the gauges on there are too futuristic for my taste and look out of place. Most importantly access to the Dash Command app. With it, I now have a backup camera, GPS with google maps, can connect to my phone with blue-tooth, internet, apps, etc. It was a risk because it was an almost "too good to be true" price, but it was one of the factory appearing units that doesn't need the ugly square trim piece to fill the gap. I bought an android head unit on ebay (Hizpo Android 9.0) for $275. I did graphic design for many years and so I wanted to have a way to read PIDs that looked cohesive with the car. For this reason, I do not like the X4 hanging off of my windshield or sitting anywhere on the car at all. I am very picky about what I do to my cars in that it has to look somewhat factory. ![]() Anyway, I was very disappointed with the aesthetics of the factory Nav unit. I just got my 08 GT500 Vert at the end of July. ![]()
